LRT Tricks

Can't ride the LRT 1 easier?

Here's some few tricks you can do:

These are the different kinds of cards LRT offers:

The green color which cost 12 pesos
The red color which cost 15 pesos
The brown which cost 20 pesos
The blue which cost 100 pesos

So you can find the here the fare to further understand it:

My advice is to buy the Stored Value card which cost around 100. It will give you free atleast 1 to 2 free rides of LRT plus, you can actually use it to ride the LRT 2 which is less hassle in my opinion since you won't be needing to wait for the line.

If you ride in the LRT and it's rush hour, chances are you will be able to ride the LRT after 30 minutes to 1 hour. From what I have observed, the more people are waiting in that station, the bigger the opportunity to have a Skip Train to drop by.

If you really cannot wait any longer, and you cannot fit yourself in or doesn't want to be stuck in the crowd, If you're going to north, you can ride the other way around going to baclaran and ride the lrt again from baclaran to your destination and same goes to the other, if you're going to south, go ride the train going north and ride back to balintawak and it's free. You just need to go to cross but don't swipe your card.
Note: this one needs a lot of guts and practice to do. So if I were you I would be having a company that knows how this trick works.
