Foursquare

Foursquare, stylized as foursquare, is a location-based social networking website for mobile devices, such as smartphones. Users "check in" at venues using a mobile website, text messaging or a device-specific application by selecting from a list of venues the application locates nearby. Location is based on GPS hardware in the mobile device or network location provided by the application. Each check-in awards the user points and sometimes "badges". ("Foursquare," 2012)

So what's with foursquare?

Foursquare can be really addicting and fun at the same time. You'll be able to receive discounts from check-ins. Anyway, foursquare is a great application where you can find different places that you haven't been to. Like when you're looking for a place to eat, places where to buys shoes and the like, you can find these things just by typing it in foursquare and locating the closest place to you. You can also look at the map if you're lost.
